Join us for a evening lecture and hands-on demo with calligrapher/artist Carrie Imai!

Carrie will be here this weekend teaching our Inkspots fall workshop, but on Friday we will host her for a lecture and activity. This event is free of charge and is open to anyone interested in calligraphy, even if you have not registered for the workshop.  Just let us know if you will be attending so we will know how to set up the room. 

The "It All Begins with a Mark" presentation is followed by a hands-on section which allows the participants to become involved with the process and come out the a piece of art. We'll have several stations set up for demos and mark-making activities using watercolors, inks, and other unique media. This hands-on portion allows people to put to use some of the techniques Carrie talks about in the lecture. It's a lot of fun!
