May Inkspots Guild Meeting
May 21, 2026
6:30-8:30
CWI, 1360 South Eagle Flight Way
Pintail RM 1302
So many amazing inks, beautiful paper, and different nibs!
We will have tables set up to explore and test many calligraphy supplies. Broad-edge, pointed pen, brush-letter, and other tools like folded pens and natural reeds for you to experiment with.
We have many new members. Welcome! This is the perfect meeting for you. Beginners can get advice and information from more experienced calligraphers.
More experienced calligraphers can experiment with different inks and paper. Most importantly, everyone will be with a group of people who like to discuss the ins-and-outs of calligraphy and lettering!
We will also have a brief description on how the digital program Procreate can support your calligraphy. If you have an iPad, bring it along.
And, finally, we will have our yearly Inkspots Board Elections.
Hope to see you all at our final meeting
before we break for the summer!
Idaho State Capitol
July 4th
11:00 - 3:00
The Idaho State Capitol is looking for 4-6 volunteers to write names on bookmarks following the America 250 4th of July Parade. The booth will be inside the Capitol building or outside in the Cecil D. Andrus Park (our choice).
All Inkspots members are welcome to volunteer. At least one volunteer should have demo table experience.
Set up: 10:30- 11:30pm | Event: 11:30-3:00 700 West Jefferson St.
Bookmarks will be supplied by either the Guild or the Treasury Office of the Capitol. Bring your own calligraphy supplies and business cards if you have them. If we have the opportunity, we may also demonstrate the tools we use, so come prepared to share a little about your process!
As always, this is a free community event with no money transactions involved. Events like this are a wonderful way to share calligraphy with the public and let Boise know the Idaho Inkspots exist!
Parking:There is street parking near the Capitol, but given fact that there is a parade, it may be limited.
The Capitol would like to finalize their plans in the next three weeks. If you are interested in participating, please respond by May 23rd.
Tip:Please refresh the page after the payment is successful
IAMPETH

This year, The Annual Conference is August 3 – 8, 2026, in Salt Lake City. It is open to all IAMPETH members and offers calligraphy classes from a slate of top instructors. It is open to beginners and experienced calligraphers. Most of the classes are for calligraphers of any experience.
The conference fee is $325 and includes all classes for the week (hotel and transportation is additional). If you are interested in attending, all of the official registration information can be found on IAMPETH’s website
Already, there are several Inkspots members who are committed to going this year. There may be carpool, or other travel sharing options, to make the trip easier. Members who have gone to Annual Conference in the past, say it is a lot of fun and a great way to take a lot of classes.
