We will vote on new board members:  President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Please consider supporting the guild by committing 1 year to the leadership and planning team! Terms are renewable up to 3 years.  Contact any current board member if you are interested. 

"Elements of Contrast and Compatibility" 

Working on your calligraphic piece and wondering how to combine different scripts or highlights to grab the attention of the viewer or reinforce the message in your quotation? Dave Kuwahara will present ideas for identifying and developing a unified composition that will present your feelings in an effective, artistic manner. We often encounter pieces that leave us unaffected or uninterested, and Dave will review calligraphic and commercial examples, leading a discussion on the factors that lead to effective, attractive pieces. No supply list, just bring a notebook and pencil if you want to take notes, an open mind, and an eye for detail.
