TOPIC:  

"A SURVEY OF EDGED NIBS"

Most of us are familiar with the Speedball "C" series nibs, and there are many other brands of edged nibs. Dave Kuwahara will lead a review of the different edged nibs that are readily available. Dave will bring samples of Speedball, Brause, 
Tape, Mitchell, and Tachikawa edged nibs for us to try out. He will also discuss nib preparation and maintenance, and will show us how to sharpen the Speedball "C" nibs to either refresh the nib or to provide finer hairline strokes. 

We will also be making Name tags to wear to future Inkspots Meetings SUPPLIES:

-A penholder 

-Your favorite Nib 

-Your favorite Ink

-Watercolor (for optional background)

-Paper

-Past Name tags you have made or instructors have made - we will display these for others to see!

-Dave will provide practice paper and walnut ink, you are welcome to bring samples of your favorite paper and ink to try out. 

Remember: we are meeting on MONDAY for Sept and Nov meetings.
