In Alcuin’s Footsteps…The Carolingian Script

A Beginning Class 

taught by Dave Kuwahara

         This class will introduce students to the Carolingian Script, which developed around the 8^th century, taking its name from the Emperor Charlemagne. This class is intended for beginning calligraphers, and the goal of the class will be for students to complete a calligraphic piece in this script. Left handed students are especially welcome.

Classes will be held from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm on Thursday evenings in the Youth Room, on the second floor of the Wright Congregational UCC Church at 4821 Franklin Rd in Boise.

Dates for the class are:

Feb 12, 26;

Mar 5, 12, 26;

Apr 2, 9

Students are welcome to bring snacks or dinner to the class.

For those of you with the Inkspots, there won't be a conflict for meetings

The class fee is $70.00 for members of the Idaho Inkspots, $90.00 for non-members. Register through the link below, all supplies and handouts are included in the registration fee.
